Golf at La Manga Club has always been popular ever since it opened and
the first golf balls were struck in the early 1970's. A host of tournaments
both professional and amateur have been played here at La Manga Club,
including the Spanish Open 5 times, Spanish PGA championships, Ladies
Spanish Open, Men's Senior Spanish Open and Spanish Junior championships.
You can play in La Manga Club's golf competitions run weekly held for
guests and residents every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, book them through
Golf Administration, situated in the Clubhouse
or prior to leaving home for your golfing holiday.
The North course and South course pars 71 and 73, meander between tall palm trees, deep barranca's and many water hazard's. Both courses 18th hole finish by the Hyatt hotel. With its extra length the South course is more difficult and you may need a handicap certificate to play. Maintenance work on the South Course has now been completed and is now ready for play. The West course with its magnificent views and tight fairways offers golfers a third alternative to playing the more used North and South courses. For those of you who wish to practice your golf at La Manga Club, the facilities here are superb, they include; floodlit driving range with 90 practice bays, chipping greens, practice bunker and 2 large putting greens. Tuition from qualified golf professionals is available including 5 day courses held at the Golf Academy, consisting of three hours tuition each morning. Individual lessons are given, book through Golf Administration. Equipment can be hired from Golf Administration. Quality makes of golf club are available to hire, pull and electric trollies and single or two seater golf buggies. Golf shoes must be fitted with soft spikes, a fitting service is on hand if you have spikes, no trainers are allowed on any of the courses. For those of you who prefer your golf less serious the Par 47 pitch and putt course is fun for all the family. All in all golf at La Manga Club is second to none, an ideal place for your golfing holiday. |
